Visit Follonica

Located on the Gulf coast, Follonica is well connected to the main Italian roads.

Let's see how to reach it

By Plane

The nearest airport is Pisa. A railway shuttle to Pisa station can be boarded from the 'arrival' terminal and from here numerous connections take travellers to Follonica.

By Bus

Buses operated by the company AutolineeToscane connect Follonica to the main Tuscan cities.

The Tiemme company only offers buses to Siena and Arezzo during the summer period.

By Train

The railway station is located in the center of Follonica, a short walk from the sea and close to main attractions of the town. Follonica is situated along the Tyrrhenian line, making it easily accessible from any traveler traveling along the North-South axis. For those coming from the Adriatic side, it is instead necessary to use the Florence - Pisa line and then arrive in Follonica along the Tyrrhenian coast.

By Car

Follonica is easily reachable via the E80, a toll-free highway, directly connected to the A12 Genoa Rosignano and the A12 Rome Tarquinia highways. For those coming from the center, we recommend the Florence - Siena - Grosseto route.

By Bike

Follonica is increasingly involved in the cycle tourism flow that, through the coastal roads from the North, reaches Rome. The construction, planned in 2024, of the Tyrrhenian Cycle Path, amplifies this opportunity, making it accessible to more people.
